These chocolate chip and marshmallow cookies are an upgrade on the classic choc chip cookies. When you add marshmallows on top that get nice and toasty in the oven, it adds extra flavor and gooeyness to an already delicious cookie.
Chocolate chip and marshmallow cookies are great any time of year but especially during the fall season when everyone is craving marshmallows around a campfire.
Ingredients
This twist on classic chocolate chip cookies has very similar ingredients with one pretty obvious addition: MARSHMALLOWS. For this recipe you will need:
- Butter
- Flour
- Baking Soda
- Salt
- Brown Sugar
- Eggs
- Vanilla
- Chocolate Chips
- Mini marshmallows

Instructions
These chocolate chip and marshmallow cookies have slightly less sugar in the dough because we are adding 3 tasty sugar clouds (marshmallows) on top.
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees and cream together your butter and sugars in a large mixing bowl. Add egg and vanilla and mix well.
- Step 2: In a separate bowl, mix flour baking soda and salt together. Combine with first bowl then add chocolate chips and stir or use stand mixer until dough is uniform.
- Step 3: Scoop about ¼ cup of cookie dough onto baking sheet covered with baking paper. Repeat until pan is covered with cookies about 3 inches apart. Press 3 marshmallows into the top of each cookie (as shown).
Hint: Using an insulated cookie sheet like this one will help your cookies to bake evenly.
Substitutions
This recipe can easily be made to fit certain diet restrictions:
- Gluten Free - use gluten free flour
- Dairy Free - use dairy free chocolate chips and vegan butter
- Vegan - Use dairy free chocolate chips, vegan butter, and make sure your marshmallows don't contain eggs. Most marshmallows are dairy and gluten free. Also omit the eggs in the cookie recipe and replace with ¼ c. apple sauce.

Storage
These cookies stay fresh for 3-5 days after baking.
Top Tip
Make sure you stick the marshmallows to the cookies firmly, otherwise they will fall off in the baking process.

Ingredients

- ¾ cup packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- ½ cup mini marshmallows
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cream together softened butter and brown sugar then add eggs and vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Stir until smooth.
- Mix flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl then add to larger bowl.
- Stir until smooth then fold in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop ¼ cup of dough onto parchment lined baking sheet and repeat 3 inches apart on the rest of the cookie sheet.
- Press 3 marshmallows into the top of each cookie.
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes then let sit on the pan for an extra 2 minutes out of the oven before transferring to a cooling rack.
